Peter and the Wolf Necklace

Peter is trying to escape the jaws of the hungry wolf by climbing up the side of this necklace whilst his friend the little bird flutters just out of reach on the other side.

Look closely and you will see the wolf has already eaten the unfortunate goose, but in his hurry he ate him whole and alive! Listen carefully and you may just hear him squabbling!

Peter, the wolf and the bird are hand-cut from thick black plastic and hang from a black plated nickel necklace.

The largest piece is the wolf at 7cm long (2 3/4"). He hangs at the base of the necklace, snapping at the heels of Peter.

Peter is 4.5 cm tall (1 3/4") and the bird is just 1.5cm (1/2").

The goose is actually cut out of the wolf with the colour of your skin bringing him to life when worn.

The necklace is about 20 inches long.

The necklace fastens with a black plated clasp. Next to the clasp hangs a tiny glass and silver plate Mymble's Daughter crow charm. This one's extra special as he's white on a black background - the reverse of my usual tag.

Peter and the bird have a tendency to flip over whilst the necklace is being worn which is great because it's like the scene is moving. All pieces are double sided so they look fine on whichever side they end up on.

The plastic pieces are very strong but this is an art piece and care should be taken whilst wearing it.

Inspired by the wonderful Prokofiev composition, Peter and the Wolf. Learn more about it here.
